One thing we were surprised to discover in our hometown is a really excellent glassblowing studio at the local university. Jeff has designed glass pieces in the past for companies he’s worked for but never actually worked with the material. A semester of glassblowing later, he’s digging out email addresses to send apologies for unreasonable demands he made on the glassblowers. Apparently glass is a petulant, demanding material. Regardless, the semester was extremely rewarding and Jeff’s developed a respect for the medium.
